Dr. Shereck Discusses Falling in Love With Pediatric Oncology

Shereck decided she would become a pediatric oncologist as a teenager, long before she actually knew what a pediatric oncologist was. Since then, she's found that she made the right choice.
She says that pediatric oncology engages her as a scientist, even as she gets to work directly with patients. Shereck concludes by saying that, over time, a pediatric oncologist's work eventually becomes part of the patient's family.
