Dr. Campbell on the Guidelines for the Management of Kidney Cancer

Steven Campbell, MD, PhD, urologist, Cleveland Clinic, discusses the recent guidelines for the management of patients with kidney cancer.

The main objective of these guidelines was to provide recommendations for the evaluation and management of localized kidney cancer, explains Campbell.

These guidelines are an evidence-based approach to the evaluation, counseling and selective utilization of renal mass biopsy. Additionally, each of the management options are reviewed, states Campbell.
