The main objective of these guidelines was to provide recommendations for the evaluation and management of localized kidney cancer, explains Campbell.

These guidelines are an evidence-based approach to the evaluation, counseling and selective utilization of renal mass biopsy. Additionally, each of the management options are reviewed, states Campbell.
