Endometrial cancer is most often cured with surgery, leaving only a small patient population that has recurrent disease. Finding funding for large randomized studies with that small patient group is more difficult, explains Chase.

Similarly, cervical and vulvar cancer are not as common, creating a challenge for getting drugs approved in those patients.
