Dr. Jain on Ongoing Research Efforts in MCL

Preetesh Jain, MD, PhD, discusses ongoing research efforts in mantle cell lymphoma.

Preetesh Jain, MD, PhD, a clinical fellow of medical oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, discusses ongoing research efforts in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL).

Several ongoing studies are evaluating molecular sequencing in patients with MCL, particularly with minimal residual disease testing through circulating tumor DNA, according to Jain. MD Anderson Cancer Center's MCL lab, which is led by Michael Wang, MD, is collaborating to conduct deep molecular sequencing on patients with progressive disease, Jain explains. Additionally, investigators are examining mechanisms of resistance to frontline ibrutinib (Imbruvica) in elderly patients with MCL, Jain concludes.
