A study looking at pembrolizumab in patients with colon cancer, found that the PD-1 inhibitor demonstrated a 60% response rate amongst heavily pretreated patients with Lynch syndrome.
Lynch syndrome affects about 4% of those with advanced colorectal cancer. These patients have mismatched repair and hyper-mutated tumors which can be difficult to treat, said Goldberg.
