Dr. Stein on Targeted Therapies for Melanoma

Jennifer A. Stein, MD, PhD, an associate professor of dermatology at NYU Langone Medical Center, discusses targeted therapies for patients with melanoma.

With the BRAF inhibitors, patients can get new skin cancers, particularly squamous cell carcinomas, explains Stein.

Those squamous cell carcinomas are usually seen in older patients, people with fair skin, or those who have had a lot of exposure to the sun, states Stein.
