Fox Chase Cancer Center Welcomes Dr. Arielle S. Weiss

Arielle S. Weiss, MD, has joined Fox Chase Cancer Center as an assistant professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Surgery.

Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce the hiring of Arielle S. Weiss, MD, as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Surgery.

Weiss is joining Fox Chase following the completion of her Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship at Fox Chase, where she focused her research on ovarian cancer. She joined the Fox Chase team after completing her internship and residency in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, where she was chief resident from 2020 through 2021. 

Weiss earned her medical degree from the Tufts University School of Medicine. Prior to that, she graduated cum laude from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in molecular and cell biology. Throughout her education, internship, and residency, Weiss produced nearly 20 publications, oral presentations, and posters.

Weiss has received several awards, including the AAGL Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures Award, the Chief Resident Teaching Award, the SGO Outstanding Resident in Gynecologic Oncology Award, and the David C. Figge, MD, Award for Excellence in Gynecologic Oncology, all from the University of Washington Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 2021, she also received a grant from Kaleidoscope of Hope, which funds ovarian cancer research.
