PLAINSBORO, N.J. (June 23, 2016) - OncLive®, a leading provider of news, resources and information to oncology professionals, has entered into a collaborative agreement with the European CanCer Organisation (ECCO), the united voice of European cancer professionals, to deliver engaging oncological clinical and patient-focused content to audiences throughout the United States and Europe.

ECCO is a not-for-profit federation that creates awareness of patients’ needs and wishes, encouraging progressive thinking in cancer policy, training and education. ECCO also promotes European cancer research, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care through the organization of international multidisciplinary meetings.

This focus will drive the delivery of rich content across OncLive print and digital communications channels. Specifically, the partnership will result in numerous print articles in OncologyLive and on www.onclive.com, video interviews, a monthly ECCO column, and other print and digital content about activities, trends, issues, events, programs, and more.

“ECCO is firmly committed to providing a cohesive platform for European cancer societies and organizations to work together to improve cancer patient outcomes, while OncLive maintains a focus on oncology professionals, making this partnership perfect to share engaging clinical and patient-focused content that affects both audiences throughout the United States and Europe,” said Michael Hennessy Jr., president of Michael J. Hennessy Associates Inc., which produces OncLive.

ECCO president, Professor Peter Naredi, added, “ECCO's core purpose is to provide a cohesive platform promoting the concept and practice of multidisciplinarity across all areas of cancer care and to be the united voice of European cancer professionals to address common policy issues. Our partnership with OncLive will allow us to share our organization’s success with a much broader audience.”

About the European CanCer Organisation

Through its 24 Member Societies, representing more than 80,000 professionals, ECCO is the only multidisciplinary organisation that connects and responds to all stakeholders in oncology Europe-wide.

ECCO is a not-for-profit federation that exists to uphold the right of all European cancer patients to the best possible treatment and care, promoting interaction between all organisations involved in cancer at European level. It does this by creating awareness of patients’ needs and wishes, encouraging progressive thinking in cancer policy, training and education and promoting European cancer research, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care through the organisation of international multidisciplinary meetings. ECCO will host a new and innovative annual ECCO2017 European Cancer Congress — the multidisciplinary evidence-based meeting for all cancer types, addressing all oncology disciplines and related healthcare professions. Focusing on phase III data, this scientific meeting will put the new evidence into perspective for a multidisciplinary audience and promises to deliver a unique experience for delegates. ECCO2017 will take place on 27-30 January 2017 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
