Welcome to OncLive On Air®! I’m your host today, Ashling Wahner.

OncLive On Air is a podcast from OncLive®, which provides oncology professionals with the resources and information they need to provide the best patient care. In both digital and print formats, OncLive covers every angle of oncology practice, from new technology to treatment advances to important regulatory decisions.

In today’s episode, supported by AstraZeneca, we had the pleasure of speaking with Julia Rotow, MD, about data shared at the 2024 ASCO Annual Meeting that demonstrated the central nervous system (CNS) activity of datopotamab deruxtecan (Dato-DXd) and osimertinib (Tagrisso) in patients with non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Dr Rotow is the clinical director of the Lowe Center for Thoracic Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, as well as an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.

In our exclusive interview, Dr Rotow discussed insights on the phase 3 LAURA trial (NCT03521154), including how osimertinib decreased the risk of CNS relapse in patients with unresectable, stage III, EGFR-mutant NSCLC. She also highlighted findings from the analysis of the intracranial activity of Dato-DXd in patients with advanced or metastatic NSCLC in the phase 2 TROPION-Lung05 trial (NCT04484142).
